Scott M. Fitzpatrick (Ph.D., 2003, University of Oregon ) is an archaeologist whose main interests include island archaeology, colonization strategies, maritime adaptations, exchange systems, and historical ecology. Dr. Fitzpatrick has conducted research throughout islands in Micronesia and the Caribbean . Dr. Fitzpatrick’s recently published works include articles in Antiquity, Anthropological Science, and Archaeology in Oceania, and the edited volume Voyages of Discovery: the Archaeology of Islands .
