Anne Schiller, Professor of Anthropology, is a cultural anthropologist interested in ethnicity, theory, religion, and qualitative research methods. She has published extensively on issues of indigenous religious and political movements in Borneo, including a monograph, "Small Sacrifices; Religious Change and Cultural Identity Among the Indonesian Ngaju." She is conducting research for a book on religion, ethnicity, and social networks in a multicultural open-air market in Italy. That book is entitled "Merchants in the City of Art: Culture and Commerce in Florence 's San Lorenzo District."
