NSF Binational Cooperative Research Program (2 Years).TEACHING AND GRADUATE ACTIVITIES: Teach introductory electives in the core curriculum.

Not a member of the graduate faculty.

Several, but none based on research conducted with University/Department facilities or supervision.HONORS, AWARDS, OTHER IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES: Several. But only one with University cooperation: Development of a laboratory and research program dedicated to the applications of plant opal phytolith analysis in the paleobotany, paleoecology and archaeology of the Eastern United States at the USDA-Forest Service Facility, Research Triangle Park, NC. Under a challenge agreement between the USDA-Forest Service and NCSU.FUTURE PLANS: Continued development of the research program at the USDA-Forest Service Laboratory, Research Triangle Park, under a challenge agreement between the USDA-Forest Service and NCSU.
